Birth of a Rose

The panel “Birth of a Rose” is a symbol of a new beginning. In the center of the picture are powdery roses, as the embodiment of quiet beauty and light, which seem to be born from the dark chaos that frames them. The soft curves of the petals and the surrounding shadows create a sense of the eternal cycle of nature, where after dark times comes an inevitable revival. The panel is immersed in an atmosphere of harmony and tranquility, inviting you to look at the beauty of life. My “rose” was created using unique techniques of multi-layer application of gypsum composition, the work slowly acquired its shape and volume, which gives it a symbolic appeal. The panel will ideally fit into interiors where deep symbols are valued and preference is given to creating an atmosphere and philosophical contemplation.

I used a layering technique to create depth and form, working with a palette knife to give the surface a tactile quality. Each layer was allowed to dry completely before I added the next, a process that took several weeks and allowed the piece to develop organically. This gradual build-up reflects the idea that growth and healing take time. Each of my pieces is unique and a one-of-a-kind sculpture. There will be no duplicates or reproductions. You are guaranteed to own an original that no one else in the world has.
